Actually dined in at this Zao for the first time, normally do takeout. Nice seating area and fast friendly service! I got the salad bowl with steak and yellow curry sauce, delicious!! My husband had the rice bowl with tofu and the chili lemongrass sauce. I had fun mixing pomegranate lemonade and sprite, while my husband had a Diet Coke. Always enjoy Zao and had fun reviewing, since it had been a while!
Really reminds me of Chipotle and Cava, but Zao is way better than Chipotle. Really loved how fresh and tasty everything was. You get your order almost immediately and it's delicious. I ordered a bowl with grilled chicken and veggies and I enjoyed it. The frescas are also very good, I recommend the watermelon flavor!

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Restaurant was very clean and all the workers were so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!!! I also had them cater our Holiday Party and it was perfect!

Today I'm getting my car serviced, so I decided to stop here for lunch in the meantime. I've seen this place a few times when shopping at Target, so I was excited to finally try it out. I decided to get the Zao tacos, with tofu as the protein. The serving size is good, with 3 tacos. The tofu is marinated and seasoned perfectly with good flavors. I enjoy all the toppings on the tacos, especially the sauce and the cilantro. The employees were all kind and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There are good vegetarian and vegan options here. The total for my meal was around $10. I think you get a good amount of food for the price you pay here. I came at 12:30 on a Wednesday, and it wasn't too crowded. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Easy parking as well.
I think I realized today that my eyes often fall upon something in a restaurant when I walk in. Here, my eyes immediately gravitated to the words "banh mi wrap" on the menu. My brain said it was logical to make a wrap with the best flavors and ingredients (arguably) amongst veggie sandwiches. Must be good, right?! Well it is! Pickled veggies. A smattering of sauces. Some cilantro, cucumber sticks crushed peanuts, seasoned tofu, and noodles. Wait, noodles?! That's weird. But it worked. Ate it like a burrito from Chipotle or Moes. BUT I did miss the mouthfeel of the bread. Also, there wasn't any spice. I'll have to ask for some spice next time. Jalapeños or a spicy sauce. The guac was delightful. Sort of a whipped variety with plenty of flavor!
This place is the bomb. Please open more of these and get to Cali if there is anything left ppl would love this.
